The Butterfly Effect

I am going to be totally honest with you, My daughter and I have a problem, we cannot seem to stop ourselves from buying every new mascara that comes out.  We love the stuff, the darker the better, anything to make our lashes pop, we are going to try it.  So, when L'Oreal introduced their new Voluminous Butterfly Effect Mascara, we were on it!!  I tried it first, but I must admit, as cool as the brush was and color was great, I didn't find it easy to use at all.  The brush was a little too much for me, and I feel that I am pretty good at putting make-up considering the fact that I used to work for Clinique and Elizabeth Arden.  So in the hope of giving it a second chance, I gave it to Isabella.  But she agreed with me.  She too found the brush to be hard to handle.  Now of course, it is designed to give more coverage, but it was too much angling around and trying to get into the nooks and crannies of my lashes.  At the end of the day it was a FORGET, unfortunately.  I really wanted to love this product.

If you have tried this mascara, please let me know what you think, I would love to know if you had a better experience or if you agree.

  1. I am the same way when it comes to trying new mascaras. I saw the ad for the Butterfly Effect mascara, and bought some the next day. My verdict? Blah. It's OK, but I have achieved much more of a "butterfly effect" with a basic brush- and it was easier and less clumpy too! I guess we will keep looking!
