Here Comes Peter Cottontail.....

It is finally here, Easter weekend.  I love everything about Easter.  Church, Family, and candy.  All the things that are near and dear to my heart.  No Easter celebration is complete without an Easter Egg Hunt.  It is not too late, there are still a few hunts to let you know about.

Eggstravaganza at Hinkle

The Easter Eggstravaganza is happening at Hinkle Family Fun Center, 12391 Indian School.  This year it will be on the mini golf course which sounds awesome to me!!  There will be an egg decorating station, lots of candy, and of course a visit from the Easter Bunny himself.  This is a free event that kicks off Saturday morning at 11 and runs until 2pm.  Should be fun for the whole family.

Mama's Minerals will have their very own Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday.  Kids will hunt for eggs filled with tumbled stones, beads, fossils, and minerals too.  Bring your own basket so you can take your treasures home with you.  Space is limited on this one so you need to reserve your place today.  Cost is $3 per child.  You can call Mama's Minerals at (505) 266-8443.  They are located on the corner of Lomas and San Mateo.

The Easter Egg Hunt I will be attending will be at UNM right after the Lobo Softball game this Saturday.  It is just $2 for kids and regular admission for adults.  The ladies will take on UNLV.  You can enjoy the game and then directly after the Easter Bunny will come out and the hunt will begin.  For more information you can call 925-LOBO or go to  I would love to see you there!!!

Easter Enrichment is happening at the Rio Grande Zoo.  The animals will enjoy special papier-mache toys, egg shaped cereal bars, and other special treats.  You can help celebrate Easter with all the beautiful animals.  This event will be on Easter Sunday from 9:30  to 11:30am.  It is free with regular admission.

Wherever your plans take you this Easter Season I hope you have a joyous day.  Hug your family and take it all in.  Hugs to all of you!!!  Have a Blessed day.  Hugs, Kiki
