Let Me Tell You About My Weekend

Champs and Strawberries
Let me tell you about my weekend.  With my birthday a week away, Honeybear and I decided to do something different.  I had never stayed at Tamaya before so we thought it would be the perfect place to go for a weekend getaway without having to go far from home.  While checking in, I had a present waiting for me, a delicious box of Truffles.  They had me at chocolate!!!  The room we stayed in was perfect.  We had a beautiful view of the Sandias and a lovely patio to enjoy it on.  We immediately went for a walk on the trail that leads through the Bosque.  The Cottonwood Trees made it feel like a true adventure and the Rio Grande was spectacular.  When we arrived back in the room there was a plate of Chocolate Covered Strawberries along with a bottle of Champagne.  I could not ask for a better surprise...MORE chocolate!!!

After enjoying probably the best night's sleep I have had in ages, we woke up early on Sunday morning and went for another walk around the Bosque.  We then indulged in the wonderful breakfast buffet served in the Santa Ana Cafe & Rio Grande Lounge.  Afterwards we spent a few hours by the Kiva Pool.  One of the things I loved the most about this Resort is not only do they have a pool with a huge slide that the whole family can enjoy, but they also have an Adult only pool where you can sit back in the quiet and soak up the sun.  There is also the Great Room complete with couches and sitting areas where you can play checkers or chess or just enjoy the fireplace.  We are already planning out our next visit to the resort.  I want to enjoy a relaxing couple's massage and my husband wants to play a round of golf at the adjacent Twin Warriors Course.   And I know my kids would love it there too!!  The whole experience was so perfect, I can't wait to get back.  It was relaxing, welcoming, and beautiful.

All in all I would say Tamaya is a FIND.  Go and enjoy yourself without a care in the world.
